Joey Nelson co-founded MobileFWD, Inc., a mobile application development studio in Northwest Arkansas. Joey served as Sr. Creative Director of Mobile & Emerging Platforms at Rockfish Interactive, a WPP company. He led the creative execution of mobile projects for clients such as Sam’s Club, The Travel Channel, Walmart, The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, Arvest Bank, Bicycle Playing Cards, Nutro and emerging platform projects with Pepsi’s Innovations Group and EA Sports.
His craftsmanship towards excellence in visual design, user experience and interactive design has honored him recognition amongst his peers and was instrumental in positioning Rockfish as being recognized for Digital A-List and Small Agency of the Year awards.
Joey has successfully launched several web companies such as TidyTweet and Couponfactory and is co-owner and lead designer for Boardertown Skate Shop and & Park, Arkansas’ premier indoor skate park. He is currently vice president of the Northwest Arkansas Advertising Federation and actively participates in growing the regional creative community.
Prior to Rockfish, Joey spent many years polishing his creative skills as a graphic designer for various companies and organizations and continues to freelance for various bands and musicians. His creative inspiration draws from urban street art and he even spent time with the graffiti crew Headed 2 Oblivion.
Joey has a bachelor’s degree in Advertising and Marketing from Stephen F. Austin State University. He currently lives in Fayetteville with his wife and his dog Teddy.
