Rick Webb

rickwebbSr. Vice President, Global Business Processes, of Walmart, Rick joined the corporation in January 2004 after more than 20 years of consulting in the retail industry. He is currently the Senior Vice President of Global Business Processes. His team is responsible for enhancing the Walmart customer’s shopping experience and all store operating procedures and systems; increasing the effectiveness of the merchandising/planning/marketing organizations by streamlining processes; and developing supporting systems and identifying opportunities to better optimize merchandise flow to Wal-Mart Stores worldwide.

Rick was awarded the Sam M. Walton Entrepreneur Award at the 2009 Shareholders Meeting by the Walton family in recognition of his leadership and impact to the Walmart business.

Rick graduated from Oklahoma State University with a PhD in Industrial Engineering and formed a consulting firm that focused on retail operations. His firm’s clients then included May Department Stores, Target, Kmart, Limited Brands, Disney, Warner Bros, Nordstrom, Saks, Neiman Marcus, Barnes & Noble, Hollywood Video, Sears, JCPenney and other top 50 retailers in the US at that time.

Rick has been happily married to Sandra for over 35 years. They have two daughters both whom work at Wal-Mart—Megan, Sr. Director of Frozen Foods, and Jaclyn, Sr. Manager in Global Talent Development.
